The re-labeling of agrochemicals

In the agrochemical sector, label management is a critical, highly regulated process, directly linked to product safety, traceability, and market compliance.
The re-labeling of Agrochemicals is a strategic service that must be performed exclusively within authorized facilities, operating under strictly controlled procedures and validated workflows.

What do we mean by re-labeling of agrochemicals

Re-labeling involves the revision and updating of the information displayed on product label and packaging, ensuring that labeling remains accurate, compliant, and fully aligned with current regulatory requirements.
This operation becomes necessary when new regulatory provisions are published, some mandatory labeling information are updated or modified, or the actual inventory includes non-compliant/outdated labels.
In such scenarios, re-labeling enables companies to avoid returning products to the manufacturing site or, in more critical cases, prevent the need for disposal.
As a result, re-labeling supports supply chain continuity, reducing lead times, operational costs, and overall logistical complexity.

CDM’s authorization path for agrochemicals re-labeling

CDM is among the few companies in Italy to have obtained official authorization to perform the re-labeling process of Agrochemicals a milestone achieved through a structured and rigorous process, formally completed in 2022 with a dedicated decree issued by the Italian Ministry of Health.

A key contributor to this achievement was when Dr. Cynara Juliana Busato joined CDM in 2019. Her goal was to lead the organization through the authorization process and assume the role of Technical Director of the business unit.

Her contribution enabled CDM to establish a system that is fully compliant not only from a regulatory point of view, but also in terms of operational governance, process control, and organizational structure.
A key advantage derived from CDM’s existing status as a Seveso-compliant warehouse: as the company had already implemented some key points:

  • Segregation of operational areas
  • Authorization for the storage of hazardous substances
  • Detailed handling procedures
  • Strict application of spill-containment principles

The dedicated re-labeling area

The re-labeling area has been specifically designed to meet complex and flexible operational requirements.
There are six independent workstations, enabling simultaneous handling of different activities while ensuring complete separation between different products or different batches/packages of the same product.
This configuration minimizes operational risks by preventing product mix-ups, switching labels or packaging inversion errors.
The dedicated area ensures full compliance with regulatory standards while maintaining high operational efficiency, even during peak activity, allowing CDM to deliver a scalable, reliable, and controlled re-labeling service.

CDM: an authorized partner for agrochemical re-labeling

In a market where regulatory compliance is crucial and risk management is a top priority, CDM is an authorized and structured partner for the re-labeling of Agrochemicals, in order to reduce both operational complexity and direct liability.
This means relying on certified processes, specialized technical expertise and an infrastructure designed for safe chemical handling and controlled operations.
CDM approaches this role with a consultative mindset, supporting clients not only in execution, but also in the end-to-end management of agrochemical logistics requirements.
The objective is to make every phase of the process more efficient, compliant, and risk-controlled, ensuring alignment with both regulatory frameworks and operational performance targets.
